Lotus Child Foundation
Lotus Child Foundation
The Lotus Child Foundation is built on love, purpose, and personal sacrifice. Much of our support comes directly from our founder, Kristyann Barger, who has turned her personal journey into a source of healing for others.
Through the sale of her memoir, One Woman with Divided Lives, Kristyann donates 100% of the proceeds to support the foundation’s mission—providing food, medical care, and essential support to orphaned children and elderly individuals, including those still suffering the devastating effects of Agent Orange.
The book explores her multicultural identity, the emotional complexities of raising biracial children, and the struggles of navigating life between two worlds. It is a story of resilience, motherhood, and purpose—woven with the hope of making a difference.

At the Lotus Child Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a chance—not just to survive, but to thrive. Guided by compassion and driven by purpose, our mission is to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity to some of the world’s most vulnerable populations—both in our local communities and across the globe.
We are a voice for the voiceless: for children who go to bed hungry, for families torn apart by poverty and displacement, and for elderly individuals who have been forgotten or left behind. At the heart of our foundation is an unwavering commitment to support those affected by the lasting scars of war—especially children suffering from the devastating impact of Agent Orange in Southeast Asia. Generations later, these young lives still bear the burden of deformities, chronic illnesses, and extreme poverty, with little access to basic healthcare or education.
Through your generous support, the Lotus Child Foundation delivers essential aid—nutritious meals, life-saving medicine, mobility devices, clean water, and educational resources—to help alleviate suffering and restore dignity. Every donation goes directly toward uplifting lives, one child, one meal, one step at a time.
But our mission goes beyond charity. We work to foster lasting change by building awareness, cultivating empathy, and creating opportunities that empower individuals and families to build better futures for themselves.
With compassion as our cornerstone, we stand firm in our belief that no child should be left behind, no elder should suffer in silence, and no community should be overlooked. Together, we can plant seeds of hope and grow a more equitable, loving world.
