Lotus Child Foundation
Lotus Child Foundation
The Lotus Child Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Jason and Kristyann Barger, dedicated to providing essential relief in the form of food, medicine, and compassionate care to orphaned and vulnerable children in Southeast Asia. Many of the children we serve live with mental and physical disabilities resulting from the lingering effects of war, including exposure to Agent Orange and generational poverty.
In April 2016, the founders embarked on their first mission trip on behalf of the Lotus Child Foundation to the Trung Tâm Bảo Trợ orphanage in Vietnam. The experience was both deeply moving and profoundly humbling. During that visit, the foundation delivered over 5,000 pounds of rice and vital medical supplies. More importantly, it offered a chance to connect with the children and elderly residents—sharing smiles, stories, and moments of human connection that underscored the urgent need for continued support.
Welcome to the Lotus Child Foundation
At the Lotus Child Foundation, we believe that no child should go hungry and no elderly person should be forgotten. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to restore hope, deliver essential care, and uplift lives—both in our local communities and across the globe.
We are dedicated to providing year-round food, medical assistance, and vital resources to vulnerable populations, especially children affected by the lasting impact of war and poverty in Southeast Asia. From rural villages in Vietnam to underserved neighborhoods here at home, we work with compassion and urgency to meet people where they are and bring relief where it’s needed most.
This is more than a charity—it’s a movement of love, dignity, and action. Every meal served, every life touched, begins with someone like you.
Thank you for visiting. We invite you to explore our mission, join our efforts, and help make a lasting difference—one child, one family, one day at a time.
